Here's What's Happening in 2008!

This Fall,   the hilarious musical, The Birth of British Columbia  will tour throughout British Columbia.   Over a decade ago,  an early incarnation of this musical toured B.C.  This revamped version features additional songs and scenes about James Douglas, the Cariboo Waggon Road, and the Proclamation ceremony.

Allen Desnoyers was also selected by National Historic Site Fort Langley  as the official playwright for their proclamation presentation.  Fort Langley is the site where 150 years ago,  British Columbia was proclaimed a colony by Governor James Douglas.

In 2008, The Klondike Rag tours the four Western provinces.  Approximately 450 performances of  this musical have been presented to enthusiastic acclaim.

In Spring, Alberta’s Rosebud Theatre for its 25th anniversary,  remounted “When the Sun Meets the Earth”,  Allen’s musical about depression era farmers.   This two-act play was the very first production in the Rosebud Opera House – a theatre Mr. Desnoyers created out of an old community hall for his high school drama students.
